Aloha,
My name is Adrianne Hale and I am a resident of Holualoa, Hawai'i. I was born and raised in Kona and
have seen tremendous change to our island home. The over-development has threatened cultural
practices as well as the health to our land and coastal areas. I ask that you support the protection of
Pahoehoe of La'aloa Res. 82-21: PAHOEHOE OF LA'ALOA TMK 7-7-008:120) and vote in support of
preserving this land and saving it from development. With rising sea levels and coastal erosion, as well
as the negative impacts of over-development of Kona's open spaces, it is important that we preserve this
area. Protecting this land from development will also ensure
that archaeological structures and burials are preserved.
