Subject: Written Testimony to Support Resolution 105-21
Aloha,
I am writing to you in full support of Resolution 105-21. As a resident of Hawaiian Acres and member of the
Hawaiian Acres Road Corporation (HARC) it is my firm belief that HARC is unable to maintain road quality that our
community deserves. This is not the fault of HARC, but the fault of the subdividing process that incorporated
Hawaiian Acres. With voluntary road fees that result in a full voluntary board, we are unable to meet the demands of
the tens of miles of roadway that our community relies on. This makes it impossible for emergency vehicles to get to
residents during an emergency and forces kids to walk miles on unlit roads to meet their buses. Thus it is imperative
that the county begins to assess the cost of improving our roads to meet county standards.
With all respect and mahalos,
Joshua Jacobs
