I urge the Nudget Committee to favorably consider Resolution 105-21.
I have been a resident property owner in Hawaiian Acres subdivision since 2004.Then,the roads were generally passable
gravel and sufficiently maintained to avoid serious hazards to vehicles and allowed police,fire and ambulance emergency
responders access to most parts of the subdivision
Since then, a variety of factors have combined to seriously impact the driveability and safety of the roads in the subdivision to
the point numerous roads are barely passable even to a four wheel drive vehicle.
Numerous times emergency responders have been prevented timely access due to road conditions. Several houses have
burned to the ground,:medical tragedies have been narrowly avoided,and neighbors joke one needs to call the police a week
in advance of the next incident.
The Community Association is broke,without a mechanism to assess dues, and has no means to maintain roads beyond hoping
for donations and praying for volunteer labor.
This is why Resolution 105-21 is critically important to the safety of citizens in Hawaiian Acres subdivision.
