To whom it may concern,
I am writing to submit testimony in support for The Friends of Big Island Drug Court grant request to the County of Hawaii,for
review on May 4th. These funds are critical in helping Drug Court and Vet Court clients progress successfully in their recovery,
by supporting individuals in accessing transportation, education, renewal of id's, contingency management incentives,
etc. The drug court program has helped numerous clients in achieving recovery from substance use disorders a well as
reduce recidivism. This program impacts not only the clients of drug court, but also their families and wider community
around them. When Drug Court succeeds, our County succeeds.
Funding to support this program is important in its continued success.
