Councilmember Sue Lee Loy, Chair, and members of the Human Services and Social Services Committee:
The Hamakua Youth Foundation is grateful to the County of Hawaii and this year's Nonprofit Grant Program Ad-Hoc
Committee for the financial assistance and awards afforded through the nonprofit grant program. The process of creating a
logic model for each of our programs was especially helpful in designing our upcoming programs to serve the youth and
families of Hamakua. As an organization we can leverage these models to collaborate more effectively across sectors to better
serve our community. Mahalo!
We also appreciated the time to briefly meet with the committee; it was a thoughtful process that connects our organization
with the broader network of good being done on Hawaii island.
