RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION CREATING FOUR (4) NEW VEHICLE REGISTRATION AND LICENSING CLERK POSITIONS FOR THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE
WHEREAS, Bill No. 21, Draft 4, the FY 2021-22 Proposed Operating Budget for the County of Hawai‘i includes an appropriation for salary and wages and fringe benefits for four (4) new
Vehicle Registration and Licensing Clerk positions for the Department of Finance; and
WHEREAS, the creation of these positions are needed to adequately service the public; and
WHEREAS, the positions indicated above are Vehicle Registration and Licensing Clerk, SR-13 positions; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawai‘i County Charter states that the Mayor has the power to “Create positions...for which appropriations have been made by the council...”;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that four (4) Vehicle Registration and Licensing Clerk positions be created in the Hawai‘i County Department of Finance.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Office of the Mayor and the Department of Finance.
