A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO NORTH KOHALA COMMUNITY
RESOURCE CENTER FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES RELATING TO ITS ANNUAL PROGRAM ORGANIZER TRAINING WORKSHOP.
WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase the number of successful community projects that benefit North
Kohala through education, training, and bridges to funding for over 75 community projects; and
WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center provides formal training series each year for project organizers covering project planning, budgeting, securing funding and writing
successful proposals that help build their capacity to sustain their programs over time, which was held twice per week in May, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center seeks reimbursement of expenses relating to its annual Program Organizer Training workshop; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations and programs that promote the health, safety, and welfare of the community; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai‘i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying
the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant
to North Kohala Community Resource Center for a reimbursement of expenses relating to its annual Program Organizer Training workshop.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
