HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 147 Draft 01 2020-2022-4 OF I,,!F COUNTY OF `I a}. � -gip � •'p`� . qrB OF°NPS RESOLUTION ,.. 21 WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase the number of successful community projects that benefit North Kohala through education, training, and bridges to funding for over 75 community projects; and WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center provides formal training series each year for project organizers covering project planning, budgeting, securing funding and writing successful proposals that help build their capacity to sustain their programs over time, which was held twice per week in May, 2021; and WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center seeks reimbursement of expenses relating to its annual Program Organizer Training workshop; and WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations and programs that promote the health, safety, and welfare of the community; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to North Kohala Community Resource Center for a reimbursement of expenses relating to its annual Program Organizer Training workshop. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $1,500 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief CREDITED TO: 010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control Public Programs 115 Misc. Contract Services (North Kohala Community Resource Center — Program Organizer Training Workshop) $1,500 $1,500 BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Director of Liquor Control and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
