This would insure Open Space for the Public, Protect Sacred Burial Grounds of" Haleolono". Preserve Hawaiian Cultural, tradition and customary practices. "Hawa'a", you Malama this land, it will Malama you. This land is of"MANA", as Lokelani McMichael's testimony of April 2021 "One must wonder why it has been an obstacle for years for any development". The Spirits are of" Super Natural Factors" printed in the Kahalu'u Historic Register., see attached.. We must respect and let our ancestors all rest in Love and Aloha. King Kalaukaua Saved a park in Waikiki, Kapiolani Park of 300 acres. I love this park, grew up in the 1950's riding horses here. Danced hula at the band stand, and ate plate lunches for 50 cents. Whenever I visit Oahu, I Always go to this park, and Waikiki Beach, before 10:00 am. {free parking : ) Parks, Mountain- Diamond Head, and Beach, Natural Resources in Preservation Forever!! King Kalakaua also lived here on Alii Drive!. Care taker of the Agricultural lands of this area. He was close to my Ohana. Our community would love a huge park from Makai all the up to Kuakini Highway!! In this time of uncertainty, we need a Park forever in the center of Alii Drive. We need OPEN SPACE, NOT MORE CONDOS,this was not ever tradition. Frank Sayre mentioned at the last hearing of April 2021, quoted Nainoa Thompson saying "West Hawaii is the last place we can Save" This land would expand Magic Sands Beach park of 10.610 acres purchased 10/06/2014 by PONC for$3,000.000 million dollars. Same land, same owner, now we are able to purchase 29.8 acres. This land goes all the way up to Kuakini Hwy. 2007 it sold for $9950,000 million dollars 2012 it sold for $5,000,000 million dollars Comm.N 1 Ref.To: Ref.Date 2021 asking only $1,500,000 million dollars, maybe less now. Not only that, the North side land of Ali'i Drive, RES-81-21 of 8.814 acres, also connects to the County Park as well This is a Life time of Opportunity to achieve this Great Big Park! And we have Willing Sellers! The purchase is of priority. The open space would Preserve the Hawaiian Culture of Landscape. The photo attached was found in the archives, this absolutely looks like this area. Pahoehoe, waterway Mauka to Makai. Ocean recreations and landscape of agriculture. With your Approval to purchase all of these lands we can do this! Keep the Royal Centers! This land was selected by the Alii for their residence. The Royal Centers were selected for the Abundance of resources and recreation opportunities. GOOD SURFING WAS AT THE TOP OF THE PRIORITY, fishing, canoe, landing sites, farming, and agricultural favored. There are Historical Registered lands surrounding these areas. This should be added to the list, as it is worthy as well. As a matter of fact, All of Ali'i Drive should be added as importance and registered of Historic Places on the Registry. This entire area is home to Endangered Hawaiian Hoary Bats, Hawaiian Hawks, and Sea Birds. The view from this lot is Amazing, and the Sunsets of the West side property is Beautiful. This land of Ali'i Drive is one of the most Sacred. In fact if you look it up, it will be defined as "Very Sacred is La'aloa". There is an extra sense of' Mana", and Personally I Pray here Frequently. .. I have records this was my ancestors area of residence. It is our Kuleana to protect our "IWI Kupuna" This land has sixty six sites and site complexes comprising 715 features. Permanent Habitations, Burials, Walls, Mounds, Judd trails, and Cattle Enclosures. Whenever permanent habitations are mentioned I will always remember what archeologist Alan Haun told me, they would bury their love ones closest to their Hale, for fear of others stealing the femur bones for fish hooks. Traditional Burials are secretly hidden. Most of the survey was surface. Beneath will be Burials. It is believed Maria spirits lives in IWI. Unless, IWI is treated with respect, HEWA, we are taught to be Respectful. This land was originally of Kamehameha development. "Kahalu'u" is also Kamehameha development nearby, it was stated as being the largest archeological site of inventory ever found in the State of Hawaii. There were thousands of Hawaiians living in this area, they are beneath us in the Kona fields system all along this coast of Alii Drive. I was told there is Spring Water beneath this land. It flows mauka to makai. It may seem dry at times, but, once your plants have deep roots, it thrives with life almost forever. New plants often come up, even flowers! This is why it was heavily populated in the early days. Until, the disease killed thousands. My photo I took as Hurricane Lane, August of 2018 was approaching Kona. It was a category 4, winds of 160 mph. I prayed, and thereafter, the hurricane turned north, and slowed down. I submitted my photo to WHT, and it made the Front Page. We are Blessed in this Sacred Land and Akua is with us. Hawa'a, we must take care of this land, and in turn, it will take care of us. Protect, Preserve, and Enhance the Quality of areas with Natural Beauty, including Coastal Scenic Resources. Make a Cultural learning center, of landscape, Agricultural. Teach our Mo'opuna of Sustainable, Organic Farming like our Ancestors. This land has historic footprints, stepping stone paths. We can carefully Malama these lands by not destruction and bulldozing. Hawaiian way of life, you take, you give back. We do what is PONO, with PONC ITS OUR LAST HOPE!! 2 PONC PURCHASE WILL ENSURE: 1. PROTECT SACRED/ SECRET BURIALS! RIP!
