Aloha County Council,
Please vote YES to move forward County efforts to acquire ALL FOUR of these nominations for Open Space. Each
is a treasure on its own merits. Look on a map - Together these four parcels form a frame of open space within
our central Kona 'Akau landscape.
We need a future that has enough natural spaces to be in and experience for our health and well being. We need the
best spaces to stay connected to the land and our cultural history.
Kona has very few protected public places. When Kona is fully built out-will we be happy and proud? Or will
Kona be like just another'Anywhere USA' paved-over place? Acquiring these very accessible parcels with unique
historic ties helps create a legacy and a future landscape that will be treasured by generations far into the future.
