SUBJECT: A Resolution Approving the Hawaii State Association of Counties Fiscal Year
2021-2022 Budget.
Attached is a resolution to approve the Hawaii State Association of Counties (HSAC)
operating budget beginning July 1, 2021.
Due to necessity of having an approved HSAC 2021-2022 budget in place in order for the
organization to operate, I am requesting this item to be waived from committee and placed on
the July 7 Council Agenda.

RE: Resolution No. 152-21 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES' FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022
BUDGET
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Governmental Operations, Relations and Economic
Development to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this matter,timely approval
is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the matter be placed onto the
next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is denied, for whatever
reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on Governmental Operations,
Relations and Economic Development for placement on its future agenda.
