Subject: Budget Hearing - extend Ali'i Dr. sewer line
Aloha Council Members,
I urge you to include in the budget financing an item to extend the Alii Drive sewer line for the one mile stretch that is missing from
about Kahalu'u Beach to Queen Kalama Drive. By now,you've seen the map, so you know exactly what mile is needed.
Even if surfers and swimmers did NOT frequently get staph and other infections in this area, it is definitely time to do so just to keep
the sewage out of the ocean.
It is definitely the responsibility of the government to protect the health and welfare of citizens and so I'm asking that you authorize
funding to get this project on the list,so that all of Ali'i Drive,which runs right along the ocean front is completed. Even septic tanks
are not acceptable so close to the ocean.
Please make this a priority!
