Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 144-21, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 144-21, transmitted by Director of Finance Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 283
dated May 26, 2021, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal
year for multi-year leases for two copy machines for the Department of Parks and Recreation, Elderly
Activities Division, Coordinated Service Section.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into five-year lease agreements with an approximate total
monthly cost of$205.00 for both copiers.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Pursuant to Hawaii County Charter Article X Section 10-11, any contract lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 144-21 and
recommends its adoption.
