WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease
year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi-year leases for five (5)
years, for four (4) copy machines for the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, these copiers will be utilized by the Police Department personnel in
Hilo and Kona; and
WHEREAS, the current copier leases will expire on June 30, 2021, now therefore,

1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year lease
agreements for the equipment as indicated above, for the Police
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii
shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the Police
Department and the Department of Finance.
