Additional <br /> federally-derived funds in the amount of$4,927 are being provided by the State <br /> Department of the Attorney General Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance Division to <br /> reduce drug threats and drug related crimes in the State of Hawai`i. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Hawai`i County Police's Statewide Multi-Jurisdiction Drug <br /> Task Force account, bringing the total appropriation to $54,927. <br /> The Police Department requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and <br /> be placed on the July 7, 2021 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these <br /> funds.
