Just wondering, what happened to our Pahoa Bus Hub? It would be super awesome if our council members circled
back to that subject to find out from the administration that recently kicked the transit administrator to the curb, what
is up?! We still have people waiting for the Hele-On bus in the hot sun and pouring rain. We still have our youth
taking Hele-On bus to their charter school in Pahoa. The problems with public transportation haven't gone away, just
because the bureaucrats seem to be on island time. Wasn't a million dollars allocated for the lease of the Aguinaldo
property at the corner of Highway 130 and Pahoa-Kapoho Road(Highway 132). At one point in time, we the public
showed up at a committee and Council meetings and pushed for this. The Council majority approved this, or was that
a figment of my imagination? Where is the Pahoa Bus Hub? What's the deal? A little public accountability on this
would be nice.

Subject: No Junior Lifeguard Program this year?
Add my name to the list of disappointed parents and constituents that, with a $600 million budget, we couldn't spare
any funds for our youth Junior Lifeguard Program this summer. The people sitting there crunching numbers in Parks
and Recreation must have forgotten that our youth have had one of the most challenging years of their lives and any
and all opportunities for recreation this summer should have been made available to them. I profoundly disappointed
that our county officials have lost sight of our community's priorities: our kids.
