COUNTY CLERK COUNTY OF 'I RECEIVED Time 7.58 P.m. Date MAY 2 9 2021 To Whom It Concerns, 3 Regarding Appropriation Bill 22, Dr 2 Amendment to Capital Improvement Project for Makea Stream temporary bridge. We are long time residents who live on Kaupakuea Homestead Road and we have a small farm property as a second property on Kaupakuea Homestead Road. We, my family and I,think that the bridge for Makea Stream is a high Priority because our area has many residents and food producing farms on it and the detour is temporary, there is a limited time to use this private road, therefore the bridge needs to be fixed. : It is an increase in time and miles to have the detour.lt is not safe, there is no light at the highway turn, there are sharp curves and corners. It increases the time and miles for us to get employment, healthcare and education. It causes delays in getting services such as ambulances, fire responses and police service. As an active member of the Kaupakuea Homestead Road association we have meeting notes about when the condition of this bridge was brought to the Countiy's attention and it was before hurricane Lane and I feel should have been funded already! Please help our neighborhood return to normal by supporting this capitol improvement project. I Sincerely, Mrs. Sunny LaPlante i I 3 I 1 i Comms No. ' Ref. T : U Ref. Pete — JUN 31 20211
