Mahukona is extremely important to our community. More than words can express. Over the years I celebrated my
marriage, mourned at my husband's Celebration of Life, have camped, watched sunsets, barbecued, celebrated
Thanksgiving, have had and attended many birthday parties and various celebrations. Mahukona should always
remain a public gathering place and could be improved immensely with the public purchase of the 640 acres at
Mahukona. We need Mahukona. We need the 640 acres to be public land. This matter weighs heavy on my heart.
