Growing up I have many precious moments of special family gatherings held at Mahukona- F|shihg
tournaments for the children. We have had Family Reunions, birthdays,anniversaries,graduation
parties' Knha|aProject graugraduates bussed down toMahukonafor sunset.
Hawi Jodo Mission has their obon in August.Sunday,a miniature boat made special is launched from a
big boat taken out from Kqahukonu Boat iafilled with fruits,vegetables,and names ofour ancestors
who have passed away. Prayers are said from our senseiand church members.
Mahukona is a very historical place, and must be preserved for the Kohala People for generations to
