Dear Council Chair,
We are residents of Hawi, Hawaii and frequent the waters and trails at Mahukona regularly. We delight in seeing all
the families who come there to swim and be together on weekends and holidays.
It's so important to keep the cultural, archeological, and biological land and waterscapes in tact,to ban development
in perpetuity. The coast and the land with its navigational heiau and historic fishing villages are all of a piece with the
entire indigenous history of Hawaii. To break it apart is to destroy the whole.
