Aloha,
My name is Wendy Nickl, and I have lived in North Kohala for 29 years. I am a teacher at Kohala Middle School and
also serve on the Board of Directors for the North Kohala Community Resource Center. I am writing in support of
Resolution 147 21.

The North Kohala Community Resource Center provides direct training to organizers who wish to start and sustain
projects that benefit North Kohala and its residents. Support for their training program, which just finished its most
recent Program Organizer Training workshop in May 2021, would be invaluable. What a win-win situation, to I
support a local organization that supports local initiatives that benefits local residents.

My family has directly benefited from many NKCRC community projects, from youth sports and culturally relevant
activities, Feed Kohala, student travel abroad, Project Grad, taiko lessons, and more.
Please use Contingency Relief funds for a grant for the North Kohala Community Resource Center,to support
NKCRC Program Organizer Training which then provides support for our North Kohala community.
