Aloha,
My name is Wendy Nickl, and I have lived in North Kohala for 29 years. I am a teacher at Kohala Middle School and
also serve on the Board of Directors for the North Kohala Community Resource Center. I am writing in support of
Resolution 148 21.

Feed Kohala, a North Kohala Community Resource project, provides locally grown produce and proteins to
approximately 250 families in Kohala each month. This continues to be a life saving and vital NKCRC project. At
our middle school, over 67% of our students are in the "eligibility for assistance" group, so the need is there. Please a
use Contingency Relief funds for a grant for the North Kohala Community Resource Center's Feed Kohala
program. Please support a local organization that supports local initiatives that benefits local residents.
My family has directly benefited from Feed Kohala, and MANY of my students' families have also received food
assistance from this worthwhile project. 3

Please use Contingency Relief funds for a grant for the North Kohala Community Resource Center, to support the
NKCRC Feed Kohala group, which then provides support for our North Kohala community.
