Please include for discussion on improvements for Park and Recreation the requests for ADA improvements that have been
languishing for almost 25 years. My understanding is that although Park and Recreation is still reporting to the Judge in the class
action suit: Russell vs County of Hawaii by phone all these years, certain improvements have still not happened... Have any of the
simple requests for ADA compliance been done?Some of the requested items are only a hand rail but very needed for the safety of
Kupuna and disabled persons. Paying legal fees to stall these improvements cannot help a simple willingness to help citizens who are
not completely able bodied.
Please use the funds allotted for these improvements and generate the needed work orders.
