A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR A MULTIFUNCTION COLOR PRINTER FOR THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY
CLERK, KONA COUNCIL DISTRICT OFFICE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article X, Section 10-11, of the County Charter, any contract, lease, or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year
or of more than one fiscal year shall be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i wishes to enter into a five-year lease for a new multifunction color printer for the Office of the County Clerk, Kona Council District Office; and
WHEREAS, the Kona Council District Office, located at the West Hawai‘i Civic Center, has a multifunction color printer that is over 10 years old, and the lease has been expired for over
five years; and
WHEREAS, the estimated lease payment for a new multifunction color printer would be approximately $295 per month, which is less than the previous lease; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five-year lease agreement for a multifunction color printer for the Office
of the County Clerk, Kona Council District Office.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds shall be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Honorable Mayor, Director of Finance, and County Clerk.
