Aloha,
My name is Athena Gray and live in South Kona. I have deep concerns with the 'state of our literal complete lack of support for
animals in need on island. The state of our current system is unconscionable. How we treat the weakest in our society, is the
ultimate reflection on who we are as a society. We know our island community is better than this—but we need your help so we can
do better by these animals.
Please get something in place before this weekend. Clearly there will be a greater need to support animals with the fireworks
going off. Please keep and maintain a system to support animals in need at ALL TIMES. There should NEVER be a gap in services.
Please do something to ensure this never happens again.
