Subject: Fate of Animals in HRR Shelters
Aloha Hawaii County Council Representatives, My understanding is that the county is ending its animal control contract with
Rainbow Friends and confiscating the shelters as of 5pm today and provisions have not been made to care for the 100+animals
there.
Please do not allow these animals to be euthanized! The County needs to work with Rainbow Friends and other organizations to get
them re-housed and cared for.
Mahalo for your intervention to ensure a humane response to this very unfortunate situation.
