Subject: Lost and found dogs on the Big Island
To whom this may concern:
Aloha I have been a resident of this island for almost 3 years and I am an avid animal lover/rescuer. However I am quite disgusted of
how our county is handling the crisis of all these homeless pets. As we enter a holiday weekend, a holiday were most animals are
known to go missing, my heart breaks as anxiety sets in not knowing where these animals will end up, especially after Sunday's'
festivities.Of all times for this transition to happen, this has to be the worst. The community was informed that HPD would be
handling the calls and responding to these homeless, lost and found animals but when you call them they say call the mayor. Well
where is he at?We need a safe place, no kill shelter, where these animals can thrive and hopefully be rehomed or reunited with their
owners. PLEASE OUR COMMUNITY&4-LEGGED FRIENDS NEED US THE MOST N O W!!!
Mahalo for your time,
Beth Moody
