Rangers did not have the facilities, the experience or the financial means to comply with the 2"thick contract. I question the fact that Rangers were properly vetted by the county. From day one Rangers we're not properly answering phones and responding to calls. There was no facility for the animals to be dropped off at on the Hilo side, instead Rangers were randomly collecting animals and adding them to the already overflowing, filthy place called Rainbow Sanctuary, it was a disaster in the making for the animals. Many people lost their pets when they were either missing unaccounted for in the sanctuary or Rangers refused to return them to rightful owners. The county, HPD and mayor allowed this situation to continue for way to long, many people filed complaints, the internet often had postings of people complaining about the lack of services from Rangers . Numerous complaints were filed by the public and they fell upon the deaf ears of the county council, HPD and mayor's office. There is nothing to be proud of here Maryrose isn't accepting any responsibility for her part in this failed attempt at animal control, she blames others for this disastrous mess, she signed the contract she has the ultimate responsibility. The county needs to request complete and full assistance from the Humane Society, no matter what the cost and expenses, it's the right thing to do for the animals that have had to endure such a miserable ordeal. Lastly the county needs to go the distance for the animals and shut down that filthy cruel hoarding facility called Rainbow Sanctuary. It is a blight on the island of Hawaii . It is no sanctuary for animals, it is a filthy horrible hoarding facility where animals enter and never leave, they are housed in dirty unkept makeshift cages, they are left to endure suffering, lack of medical attention and horrible inhumane conditions.
