Hello, my name is Meg Arvin &I am a non-resident of Hawaii. Given recent events, I've become more
knowledgeable about giving due respect to indigenous cultures. It has come to my attention a non-native, Sham
Armbruster, is being positioned for the Leeward planning commission to advise the mayor on indigenous affairs. This
is a slight to the native indigenous community of Hawaii and they deserve better. Many folks have expressed a strong
interest in Roberta Ku'ulei Keakealani as a better fit. Ki'ulei has indigenous roots to the native culture of Hawaii and
would be incredibly more valuable to the role of advisement than a non-native. Please consider reviewing your
options and electing Ku'ulei to this position. Thank you for your time.
