To whom it may concern,
1, Christine Brunner, a resident of New York State, am writing today on behalf of the indigenous peoples of Hawaii. It
has come to my attention that Shani Armbruster has been nominated for a seat on the Leeward Planning
Commission. While her qualifications are valid, it is yet another example of the continuing colonization of Hawaii. It is
past time that we include more indigenous voices to these types of positions, as it is their land that is being
developed. For that reason, I am suggesting Roberta Ku'ulei Keakealani for nomination to the Leeward Planning
Commission. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
