ORDER OF RESOLUTIONS Res. 170-21: AUTHORIZES THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF WAI`ELE IN THE DISTRICT OF PUNA, UTILIZING THE PUBLIC ACCESS, OPEN SPACE, AND NATURAL RESOURCES PRESERVATION FUND The County seeks to acquire the properties to protect archaeological structures, raised trails, and a rare grove of kala trees and to provide access to the shoreline for gathering, educational, recreational, and cultural practices. These parcels consist of approximately 165 acres of land with 2,000 feet of shoreline.
