As we look at Kohala we see a district rich in the Cultural History of Hawaii. Our district is bordered by Pololu Valley on one side, Kawaihaeonthe other, and the Majestic KohdaMountains. Rural in nature, I remember growing up spending a lot my time along it's coasts and lush mountain hunting and fishing.Other than Po|o|uand the beaches ofSouth Koha|o,our beaches are Rocky. Not too many places tutake the family swimming. Besides being o significant Cultural Area and Harbor, Mahukona serves Kohala as one of it's main swimming and recreational locations.Access to beaches and other areas of Kohala has become increasingly cumbersome for the local community to get too. Please protect whatever resources we have for the people who live here and for future generations. It seems that we are often fooled to believe change is good, but it is often times good for only a few and places extra burdens on the people who were born and raised their. Again, Mahalo for your service, Mahalo for protecting the Aina for our Keiki. K4aha|n r 1_N Sent from my iPhone CD _-
