A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF TWELVE (12) AIR-GAIN ANTENNA AND CRADLE POINT UNITS, AND ASSOCIATED HARDWARE TO THE HAWAIʻI COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, SSFM International is donating twelve (12) Air-gain antenna and cradle point units, and associated hardware; and
WHEREAS, this equipment, with an estimated value of approximately $34,068.56, will be utilized by the Hawai‘i County Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai‘i County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawai‘i County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities,
or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and
WHEREAS, the Hawai‘i County Police Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai‘i County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a)
of the Hawai‘i County Code, the Council of the County of Hawai‘i accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution be sent to Michael Matsumoto, 501 Sumner Street, Suite 620, Honolulu, Hawai‘i 96817, acknowledging
this generous donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Police Department, the Department of Finance, and the Office of the Mayor
