Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting the donation of repairs in the form of labor and
materials to install new grates on the top bulkhead, and to perform welding repairs at the
Kona Community Aquatic Center from the nonprofit organization, Kona Aquatics, PO
Box 2901, Kailua Kona, Hawaii 96745. These repairs, valued at approximately $10,000
will allow the pool to be used for long course meter swim meets and allow the use of the
bulkhead during normal pool operations.

This is a request to create a resolution to accept a donation of repairs to the bulkhead at Kona Community
Aquatic Center.

Kona Aquatics is a non-profit organization based in Kailua Kana, Kona Aquatics it committed to support the
Department of Parks and Recreation in repairs and maintenance of the Kona Community Aquatic Center for
the benefit of our island community.
Kora Aquatics desires to donate approximately$10,000 worth of tabor and materials to install new gates on the
top of the bulkhead and welding repair to failed welds on the bulkhead'.
A bulkhead is an upright partition separating compartments, In a swimming pool a bullhead is used to separate
a pool into different sections typically to accommodate different fields of play,
Repairs to the bulkhead will allow the pool to be used for long course meter swim meets and allow use of the
bulkhead during normal pool operations.
