ME � <br />RESOLUTION NO. 188 " 21 <br />0 • A 1 •' <br />1 • <br />A A ;4:1:11111:40 J&1JTJlJ wool ;I :&'I <br />0 e <br />WHEREAS, the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) wishes <br />for the County to enter into an agreement between the State of Hawai'i, Department of <br />Budget and Finance and the County of Hawaii; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii, Department of Budget and Finance has <br />authorized federally -derived funds to be provided to the OHCD for the purpose of <br />implementing a homeowner assistance fund program to eligible households that are <br />financially impacted by the coronavirus pandemic; and <br />WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that county <br />departments obtain the consent of the council to enter into agreements with the federal <br />or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers <br />granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other assistance in <br />connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'l, in <br />accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, that the Mayor of the County of <br />Hawaii is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, an agreement and related <br />documents with the State of Hawaii, Department of Budget and Finance to enable the <br />County to receive funds as specified above. <br />
