REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC WORKS AND MASS TRANSIT <br /> DATE: August 3, 2021 Re: Comm. No. 334 <br /> PLACE- Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai'i <br /> TIME: 1:00 P.m, <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai'i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai'i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Mass Transit, to which was referred Communication No. 334, <br /> reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 334, transmitted by the Honorable Mayor Mitch Roth, dated July 15, 2021, <br /> nominates Kristy Cruz of Council District 5 to the Transportation Commission. <br /> Executive Assistant to the Mayor, P6maika'i Bartolome, introduced Mr. John Andoh, Interim Mass <br /> Transit Administrator, to answer any questions or provide explanation as needed. Ms. Bartolome <br /> introduced the nominee, Ms. Kristy Cruz, who is a lifelong Hawai'i Island resident and, since 2013, <br /> is the Food and Lodging Lead at Mauna Kea Services, Inc., managing logistics, materials, and <br /> supplies in support of scientists and contractors on Mauna Kea, requiring exceptional supervisory, <br /> organizational, and collaborative skills and specific knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations <br /> and requirements. She is a committed member of theMountain View Elementary School Community <br /> Council and the current president of the Parent Teacher Student Association.
