Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 175-21, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 175-21, transmitted by Director of Finance Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 339
dated July 16, 2021, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal
year for a multi-year lease for one multi-function copy machine for the Department of Finance.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement with an approximate
monthly cost of$250, and would be used by the department's Real Property Tax Division in Kona.
There was no discussion on the measure.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease, or other obligation requiring
payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be
approved by resolution by the County Council.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 175-21, and
recommends its adoption.
