Aloha e Hawaii County Planning Commission,
Having learned of the call for the nomination for membership on the County Council
Cultural Resource Commission, I am humbly writing today to endorse with high regards
this extraordinary individual, leader and pua of Kona, Ku'ulei Keakealani.
In many ways exceeding the challenging requirements and expectations for this
kuleana, on the cultural resource commission, her ambitions, intelligence, and

accomplishments complement precisely the unique community of past recipients and
makes her highly deserving of this opportunity given by the County of Hawai'i.
To further support this nomination, I would be pleased to express in more detail my
personal and professional insights into Ku'ulei's unique talents and qualifications, but at
