Aloha Committee Members,
Please accept this testimony of full support of the following nominations for the Hawaii County Cultural
Resources Commission:
• Roberta Ku`ulei Keakealani (District 9)
• Matthew Clark(District 4)
I have worked and volunteered with both Ku`ulei and Matt over the years conducting coastal restoration
activities in Ka`u with Matt since 2016, and in North Kona with Ku`ulei with resource planning and wetland
stewardship efforts since 2013. Both of these individuals are highly knowledgeable about natural and
cultural resources, and passionate about perpetuating cultural practices in Hawaii. They would be
excellent additions to the Cultural Resources Commission to help guide decisions of our County within the
realm of this Mayor's Commission.
I sincerely hope that the Planning Commission moves forward swiftly in passing these nominations. Many
