RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER
FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-
YEAR AGREEMENT WITH THE CITIES FOR FINANCIAL
EMPOWERMENT FUND

WHEREAS, this agreement is to provide grant funding to the Office of Housing and
Community Development (O C) based on the financial obligation of matching funds by
the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or
other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or
of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, Hawai'i Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that County
state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted
law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other assistance in connection with i
County Charter, that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is authorized to execute, on
behalf of the County, a two (2) year agreement, and related documents with the
Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund to allow the County to receive grant funding
as specified above.

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall
transmit copies of this resolution to Office of Housing and Community Development, the
Office of the Mayor and the Finance Department.
