Re: Agreement with State of Hawaii Department of Defense
Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii. Department
of Defense to allow the Civil Defense Agency to utilize two classrooms at Keaukaha
Military Reserve (KMR) to conduct daily operations during facility renovations on their
permanent office space.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Civil Defense Agency's office at 920 IJI I ni Street in Hilo is undergoing extensive renovations.
KMR was chosen because it was the most suitable location„ with infrastructure in place that allowed for
connectivity with HIEMA (Hawaii Emergency Management Agency)for communications and emergency
warning syst rns,
