The agreement is to provide grant funding to the OHCD based on the financial obligation of matching funds by the County of Hawaii over the course of two years. In order to receive these fs.snds, ($102,000 in FY 2021-2022 and $100,000 in FY 2022-2023), the county is required to provide matching funds of$150,000 in FY 2021-2022 and $200,000 of matching funds in FY 2022-2021 The Office of Housing and Community Development ( FI ) respectfully request a waiver from Council Committee in order to expeditiously implement the much-needed services and resources provided through the Financial Empowerment Center(FEC) to our community members. , BACKGROUND AND J U T"IFI TIQN g �� FI T 19 For FY 2021-202.2 OHCD has met it's matching fund requirement of$150,000. In reviewing this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review.
