Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 182-21,reports as follows: 3

Resolution No. 182-21, transmitted by Director of Finance Deanna S. Sabo via Communication No. 351,
dated July 30, 2021, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal
year for a multi-year lease for one multifunction copy machine for the Department of Finance.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a three-year lease agreement with an approximate
monthly cost of$260, and would be used by the department's Purchasing, Property Management and
Risk Management divisions in Hilo.
There was no discussion on the measure.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease, or other obligation requiring the j
payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year shall be made or approved by resolution
by the County Council.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 182-21, and
recommends its adoption.
