Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
Please be informed that I have appointed the following women to the Hawaii County
Committee on the Status of Women:
• Deborah A. Davis of Kamuela to replace Antoinette K. Alameida of Hilo. Mrs. Davis
has been a realtor with the Clark Realty Corporation since 1987. She will serve the
balance of the unexpired term which will end on December 31, 2002.
• Michele M. Galimba of Hilo to replace Jeanette K. Bento of Hilo. Ms. Galimba has
been a rancher with Kuahiwi Contractor's, Inc. since 1994. She will serve the
balance of the unexpired term which will end on December 31, 2001.
• Sonia P. Juvik of Hilo to replace Jaime M. Kawauchi of Ka'u. Mrs. Juvik has been a
professor at the Unviersity of Hawaii at Hilo since 1984. She will serve the balance
of the unexpired term which will end on December 31, 2001.
