Aloha,
I am writing in support of resolution 170-21. 1 am a 40 year resident of Kapoho who raised my family here. I was one
of the lucky ones who had a home & farm to return to after the 2018 Kilauea eruption. It was not without considerable
reconstruction that I was able to move back home. But no amount of reconstruction can bring back our lost coastal
recreation areas.
Please do everything in your power to provide our community with new LEGAL sources of coastal recreation. Our
choices are so limited now &many have resorted to trespassing in order to access the ocean. Please help us remedy
the situation by providing us with legal access to a beautiful & historic property that deserves to be open to public use.
We don't need a park,just a parking lot and trail. I am sure we could get many volunteers involved to make that
happen!
Mahalo for all you have done and are doing towards healing our community after the eruption. This would be another
major step towards healing &revitalization!
