I humbly ask that you oppose Bill 52 and 53. 1 was born and raised in Kohala and built this house in Kona over 40 years ago. My late husband and I bought this property with the intention of owning a small farm in a small agricultural community. (Kona Acres) I have to ask all of you, is this being done the right way?Do the developers have respect for the community? As a neighbor I don't feel that they understand the term respect as we do here in Hawaii. I see only self service and entitlement. It is heartbreaking to watch this entire process. There are a lot of issues surrounding this development but the one that really concerns me are the moral principles involved. What example are we setting for our future generations like my granddaughter? What example are we saying is acceptable? Where do we draw the line on the abuse of the very sensitive term "affordable"to those who would exploit it?What example is our government wanting to set moving forward? Please keep these questions in mind as you vote for bill 52 and 53. Please consider opposing Bill 52 and 53. Sincerely, Pat E. Hidano Comm. No. Ref. To: 1ef. Date U 2,021
