o+tI.°FCOUNTY OF °'?k <br /> p <br /> A A G +: "° G <br /> or wry+ <br /> SOLUTION NO. <br /> (DRAFT 2) <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATE <br /> FISCALYEAR F MORE THAN I L YEAR LI- <br /> YEA AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAVI EMPLOYEES' <br /> RETIREMENT SYSTEM (ERS) <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Finance wishes to enter into a multi-year agreement <br /> for six (6) years with the State of Hawaii Employees' Retirement System (ERS); and <br /> WHEREAS, the agreement will allow the County to obtain information that will be <br /> provided by the ERS actuary which will be needed for the County's financial statements; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or <br /> other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or <br /> of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that County <br /> departments obtain the consent of the council to enter into agreements with the federal or <br /> state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by <br /> law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other assistance in connection with <br /> projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. In accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes and Section 10-11 of the <br /> County Charter, that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is authorized to execute, on <br /> behalf of the County, a six (6) year agreement, and related documents with the ERS <br /> to allow the County to obtain information from the ERS as specified above. <br /> 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated <br /> obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. <br />
