Subject: Amendments to Bill 44
Dear Council members,
My name is Seth Jones. I support Councilwoman Villegas amendments to Bill 44. Specifically the additional On-site Inspection
for Factory Built housing. As a Carpenter and in the military I have found when you are transporting anything that is prebuilt it
tends to move causing the material to damage.The main concern with Factory Built housing is that anything that is structural
such as the Simpson connectors may bend and lose the structural integrity.This also applies to the electrical and plumbing.
The damage that may happen to the electrical or plumbing may not be noticed when the house is put in place.This would
cause the structure to be unsafe for the tenants.The On-site inspection would mitigate any of these occurrences.
