Subject: Support Resolution 161, Protection of Kiolakaa
To the County Council of Hawaii:
Please help us the people of Kau, of Hawaii,to save Kiolakaa,from an irreparable loss to our Kau Coast, to private
development.
This is my third letter to plead for the preservation of Kiolakaa. The common theme is for the protection of Kiolakaa for all of
the people of Kau, of Hawaii for all future generations. Our people may not have much in material goods but we are rich in the
love of our Kau Coast,to participate in our cultural heritage of gathering rights,to love, respect and honor the land and
beaches that we call our home, Hawaii.
If this was a movie,we would all be singing Aloha No Kau by the late great Uncle George Naope who understood the inherent
priceless beauty of the unspoiled Kau Coast, in which Kiolakaa is an integral parcel to the whole. We would all join hands and
sing Hawaii Aloha,fighting back tears, relishing'our love for the preservation of Kiolakaa, of Kau, of Hawaii. If this was a movie,
it would have a favorable ending with the love of our Island,of Kiloakaa conserved for all of us.
Please help us make this a happy ending.
