My name is Tanya Aynessazian, and my family resides in Pahoa. `s 4 Firstly, in regard to the most recent emergency proclamation, my concern is that the reason we are in this emergency is due primarily to our medical response to the positive cases on island. As an employee of a facility that cares for kupuna,we have had three cases of potential exposure to positive SARS CoV-2 individuals and the State Dept of Health has, in each case, told us repeatedly that these were low risk cases. The cases were completely minimized and disregarded.Yet in the media, you see a frenzy of how fearful we should be.A fourth case, a positive test in a vaccinated employee while on vacation, could have presented a serious threat. However, it was minimized by that person's voluntary and curious desire to test prior to returning to work—this is a step not required by either or business, the county, state or federal governments. If this person had returned to work, surely many of us would have been infected. Yet, daily we see that it's the unvaccinated folks who are the scape goat for spreading this virus. i Also noteworthy, there are several treatments working across the country and the globe to minimize COVID_19 hospitalizations, yet in admission by our own medical community,we are not using these available treatments, and the ones we are using are the most expensive and these do not have the better outcomes other treatments being used elsewhere have exhibited. in every positive case identified on island, the supposedly infected person is told to go home and quarantine, with no instructions on what to do, where to get early treatment, or even to use over the counter treatments like inhaled budesonide, available in low dose at Long's and other pharmacies or by prescription by any MD. (https://www.thelancet.com/article/S2213-2600102821%2900160-OJfulltext). (Not to mention the many other available OTC and low-cost early treatments available. Is it not worrisome to other residents that 17 months after the initial shutdown in March 2020 that our local doctors haven't determined nor implemented the early treatment protocols to use to minimize hospitalizations that are widely used elsewhere in our country and around the world? Many people I talk to don't even know that COVID-19 has treatments available, they think it is uncurable!Yet doctors across the country and world are getting censored for saying it's one of the illnesses that is easy to treat when treated early. Why are our doctors not being educated on what other docs are doing-is that not science,to discuss what works and what doesn't,to learn, change course, and repeat? Why are our docs doing the same thing as a year ago?Isn't that a question worth asking??? Why is everyone who tests positive, vaccinated or not at this point, not given instructions that there are telehealth docs available from other states who will prescribe to them early treatment protocols defined by the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) and other doctors who can help—doctors who have been widely censored despite their treatment protocols being implemented and successful for over one year? (see https://FLCCC.net)There are lifesaving protocols for the prevention and treatment of COVID-10, in which safety has been proven over years, efficacy is maintained and does not begin to drop after only six months, and transmission is minimized. Why are these alternatives or additions—not being shared widely by our medical community and health agencies? (You know I have researched this,so I will spare my opinions and findings unless asked.) Co rn. ®. 1 131100.101 Ref. To: Ref. DateAUG 7 2021 Secondly, I wish to pre-emptively address the idea of mandated vaccines, especially in the student populations. Anyone— ANYONE—telling us that ANY drug or shot is safe and not to worry about pregnancy that doesn't have long term data (4+ years, 7-10 is conventional) available is misguided at best. This data will not be available for years,Just because someone you know got vaccinated and pregnant does NOT mean it is safe for all. There is a reason that drugs are studied for 7-10 years, and to mandate these vaccines for school children when other treatments for symptomatic COVID-19 illness are available, is unnecessary. Long term safety ofour children and our children's children should bekept in mind when putting policies into place, and by all means, please review all treatments available. In terms of mandating the mRNA vaccines for adults, the same goes. Gene therapy vaccination will not present the same in everyone, our body produces the spike protein at its own rate, it is not universal for all. This is why some vaccinated folks have little to no side effects, some have longer term effects, some have later effects, some have temporary disabilities, and others, permanent. There have been more deaths reported due to this vaccine than in the entire VAERS database for all vaccines since it began in 1990.This should not be taken lightly Each ofus has different immunity based on our bio-and physiological systems, our past and future exposure tothe SAKS-[oV-2virus, and our underlying health issues and lifestyle choices. No one should be shamed for their health choices, and yes, freedom to choose comes with a lot of personal responsibility, and this is not always quickly learned, I admit, I am sure we can honor each others' boundaries as well as address all the public health concerns we have. Which brings me to my third point. Like with many other contagions, our personal health situation prior to contracting is the #1 determinant for our outcome. Why are we scaring everyone to the point of healthy athletes wearing masks when they are cycling alone outside? Why are we creating panic, shutting people in,so they are scared to talk to people? Why are we promoting increased anxiety, which is one of the most exacerbating risk factors for many acute and chronic illnesses during a pandemic? I ask that Hawaii County be responsible in how they frame the messaging—according to the CDC itself,Anxiety and fear-related disorders were a "prevalent condition" in cases studied from March 2020 to March 2021,and the second highest risk factor for death. |'d love tosee Hawaii County take a bold step in promoting a more wholistic way of approaching and discussing personal and public health, not just during this COVID-19 challenge, but moving forward. We should always be promoting healthy lifestyle choices and not only turning to Big Pharma for their cash cow vaccines that get a pass onthe regulatory steps due tourgency. We have it within ourselves to be healthy, live healthy and take care of one another—so that when the next contagion comes around, vveare overall, healthier and stronger.
